Spiderwatch

The tracking system that actively watches over you

Introducing a revolutionary approach to safety

In a rescue situation, getting to the accident as soon as possible is everything. Spiderwatch alerts people about an accident within minutes – not hours, every time. Spidertracks with spiderwatch can save lives.

  • The world’s first ‘active’ tracking system.
  • Every flight is monitored – 24/7, worldwide.
  • Spiderwatch constantly checks to see if the spider – and the vehicle, is okay.
  • If contact is lost with the spider, emergency alerts are automatically sent by SMS and email within minutes to the right people.
  • The aircraft or vehicle can be located promptly, based on its last reported position.
  • Automatically activated with speed.
  • Simple turnoff – one button press to cancel spiderwatch at the end of the flight.
  • Nothing could be simpler – or safer.

With the spiderwatch service , your aircraft is actively monitored by the spidertracks website – every flight, 24/7, wherever it is in the world.

When your aircraft accelerates through 40 knots spiderwatch is automatically activated. The system actively watches over the flight, waiting for each position point to come in.

At the safe conclusion of the flight, all the pilot has to do is press one button on the spidertracks keypad to cancel spiderwatch.

But, if an accident occurs and the spider loses power, the system recognises that something has gone wrong. Within minutes, spiderwatch automatically sends SMS and email alert messages to your nominated contacts. First Tier Contacts (contacts who will be notified first if there is a problem) should be people who normally follow your flights. If those contacts do not reply to the system within 15 minutes of the initial alert being raised, a further alert message will be sent to your Second Tier contacts, which can include the relevant rescue authorities (as nominated by you).

Spiderwatch alerts are nearly 100% reliability because they are generated by the system, remotely from the aircraft, so if the spider is disabled in a crash, spiderwatch still works. And the aircraft can be located promptly based on its last reported position.

ELTs, flight plans or active tracking?

Spiderwatch is the new service that offers an effective alternative to ELTs and filing flight plans.

  • Spiderwatch sends alerts within minutes of an accident – not hours later when the aircraft is overdue.
  • Spiderwatch alerts are sent by the website – not by a device that has to survive an accident.
  • Spiderwatch saves lives because people can be located immediately based on the aircraft or vehicle’s last reported GPS position.
Disclaimer: Spider Tracks Ltd takes no responsibility for spiderwatch failing to initiate alerts in the event of an incidient or for contacts not receiving or acting on alerts.
